Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior, Core Tax Services to apply tax fundamentals, gather client information, participate in planning, and review returns. The role may supervise Core Tax Services Associates and requires strong research and communication skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

The position emphasizes tax research, accurate accrual workpapers, and collaboration with the tax team to deliver timely, compliant tax returns for clients across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics (or CPA) required or equivalent.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• CPA certification or authorization to test preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensure client compliance and minimize tax burden while following firm policies.
• Research: frame and report analysis clearly; apply firm standards for returns and research.
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: prepare provision workpapers and discuss positions.
• Tax Consulting: develop efficient methods to maximize client benefits and identify opportunities.
• Strategy Development: propose improved tax strategies and potential action plans.
• Other duties as required and supervision of associates as needed.
