Saltmarsh is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to deliver high-quality service and build lasting client relationships across multiple industries. You will manage complex tax engagements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic goals of the tax department in a supportive, growth-focused firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm (local, regional, or national).
• CPA license, CPA eligibility, or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple engagements.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in team development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing training and performance feedback.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on tax law changes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated client service.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting.
• Support business development efforts through networking and client outreach.

As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the strategic goals of the tax department.
