Saltmarsh, a respected regional accounting firm, seeks an experienced Tax Senior to deliver high-quality service and build lasting client relationships. You will manage complex tax engagements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the strategic goals of the tax department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years tax experience in a public accounting firm.
• CPA license, CPA eligibility, or active pursuit preferred.
• Strong PM, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing training and feedback.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on tax law changes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated client service.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting.
• Support business development through networking and client outreach.

Saltmarsh is looking for an experienced Tax Senior who is passionate about delivering high-quality service and building lasting relationships. This role is ideal for someone who sees themselves as a leader and is looking to grow within a firm that values development, mentorship, and advancement.

As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing complex tax engagements, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the strategic goals of the tax department. You’ll work closely with clients across a variety of industries, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work

• Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm (local, regional, or national)
• CPA license, CPA eligibility, or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple engagements
• Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in team development
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
