Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking an enthusiastic Tax School Facilitator to deliver structured tax education on site in multiple locations, including Indianapolis, IN. You will teach federal and state tax concepts, guide hands-on practice, and assess student progress for adult learners.

The role emphasizes clear communication, engaging instruction, and staying updated on IRS rules to ensure accurate content and a positive learning experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of teaching or facilitation experience.
• Experience in training or instructional delivery preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to simplify complex concepts for adult learners.
• Proficient with computers, software and presentation tools.
• Patient, motivating, and student-focused demeanor.
• 6 week course with 6.5 teaching hours per week in office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured tax education courses to adult students of varying experience.
• Teach core tax concepts including federal and state income tax, deductions, and credits.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, exercises, and hands-on tax return practice.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, quizzes, and feedback.
• Maintain an organized, welcoming classroom environment for learning.
• Stay current on IRS tax laws and updates to ensure accurate instruction.
• Collaborate with management to align curriculum with Jackson Hewitt standards.
