Job summary

The W Tax Group in Southfield, MI is seeking a skilled Case Manager / Tax Resolution Specialist to own a portfolio of resolution cases and serve as the primary client contact. You will read notices, interpret transcripts, prepare filings, and drive each file toward a successful resolution.

We value CPAs or EAs and hands-on tax preparation experience; you will work with attorneys and resolution professionals in a collaborative, on-site/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Strong tax knowledge and ability to read notices and transcripts.
• Experience preparing individual and business returns (1040, 1120-S, 1065, 1120, 941, 940).
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of active resolution cases from engagement to final resolution.
• Read notices, interpret transcripts, prepare filings, and move files toward resolution.
• Apply resolution strategies: installment agreements, CNC, OIC, penalty abatement, and state resolutions.
