Black Ore is building the leading AI platform designed to accelerate financial services, focused on Tax Autopilot for tax professionals. We are hiring a Product Manager to own key parts of our tax product, decide what we build, and work with engineering and design to ship software relied on by tax professionals each filing season.

A CPA background and hands-on U.S. tax experience set you apart as you understand workflows, judgments, and pain points, translating them into a clear product

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience, ideally on B2B SaaS or fintech products.
• CPA license or US tax background with hands-on preparation or review experience across forms.
• Track record of shipping products from idea to launch and measuring the results.
• Strong product judgment: ability to prioritize, say no, and explain why.
• Comfort working closely with engineers and discussing technical trade-offs.
• Excellent written communication, especially specs, decision docs and stakeholder updates.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for one or more product areas from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Talk regularly with customers to find the highest-impact problems in tax preparation and review.
• Write clear PRDs and user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Partner with engineering and design to manage scope, timing and quality, and keep the work moving to launch.
• Set success metrics for your features, track adoption and accuracy, and use data to decide what comes next.
• Plan launches with go-to-market, support and customer success, including enablement and release communication.
• Keep the product pace with tax law changes, IRS updates and filing-season deadlines.
• Act as the tax subject-matter expert across the product team.
