Job description

Seasonal Tax Preparer

Location: 100% Remote

Pay: $30/hr - $31/hr W2

Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week across three or more days.

Requirements:

• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software.
• State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds as applicable (must be able to obtain).Internet connection meeting security criteria.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and/or proprietary business information responsibly.
• Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver accurate answers to customers in everyday language.
• Interact with customers and team members professionally via video communication software, documenting interactions to maintain accurate records.
