Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a team member to support the tax interview process, entering client data and W-2 figures into the tax software, and helping assemble complete tax returns for review with clients.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, customer service, and adherence to procedures. You will work with paper and electronic files, ensuring signatures are obtained and bookkeeping steps are completed as part of closing the interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
