Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a tax assistant to help begin and close tax interviews, enter client and W-2 data, and assemble tax returns. You will review the final product with clients and ensure superior service to all clients. Additional duties as assigned support a collaborative tax team.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, customer service, and the ability to handle typical Windows-based software used in tax preparation.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
