Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a frontline tax assistant to support client interviews and prepare accurate returns in a franchise office. You will enter client and W-2 data into the tax program and help assemble returns.

You\'ll work under supervision, provide courteous service, and complete bookkeeping steps, with responsibilities expanding to ensure all clients receive superior service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
