Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an entry-level Tax Interview Assistant to help begin and close client tax interviews, enter client and W-2 information, and assemble returns with accuracy. You will review the finished product with clients and ensure service excellence.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic math, and familiarity with Windows-based software, with additional state/local requirements potentially applying. Franchisee posting only; inquiries to the local office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
