A leading national accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Principal / Partner to join its growing tax practice. This is a nationwide opportunity, with flexibility around remote working and the ability to align the individual with the firm's nearest office.

The firm is one of the largest accounting firms in the United States, with a substantial national and international footprint and a broad range of tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory services. The tax practice works with privately held businesses, middle-market organizations, high-net-worth individuals, and larger corporate clients across a wide range of industries.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Tax Partner, Principal, or senior Tax Director who is looking to join a larger platform while maintaining significant client and business development responsibility. There is no requirement to bring a book of business, but this is welcomed if there is the possibility of a portable book.

The successful individual will play a key role in:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of tax clients across a variety of industries.
• Serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.
• Leading complex tax engagements and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services.
• Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with business owners, executives, and other key decision-makers.
• Providing technical guidance on complex federal, state, and/or international tax matters depending on area of expertise.
• Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of complex tax returns and related filings.
• Mentoring, developing, and providing leadership to tax professionals.
• Collaborating with professionals across the firm's tax, audit, accounting, and advisory practices.
• Contributing to the continued growth and strategic development of the firm's tax practice.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in public accounting, with a strong background in tax.
• Current or recent experience at the Partner, Principal, Managing Director, or senior Tax Director level.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to advise clients on complex tax matters.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• A proven track record of business development and/or an established network within the market is highly valued.
• CPA required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing tax teams.
