Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and review diverse federal and state tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. You’ll mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and engage directly with clients and firm leadership from a flexible, remote-friendly setup.

The ideal candidate has CPA licensure, strong public accounting tax experience, and the ability to navigate both compliance and planning across varied client needs.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• U.S.-based accounting or related education.
• Strong public accounting tax experience.
• Broad tax experience in small to mid-sized CPA firm preferred.
• Experience reviewing federal and state tax returns.
• Strong understanding of individual and business taxation.
• Mentoring junior staff experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities and deadlines.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills.
• Career stability and tenure with previous firms preferred.
• Interest in long-term career with potential firm leadership.
• QuickBooks and Lacerte experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage diverse portfolio of tax engagements and client relationships.
• Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts and estates.
• Review work by senior accountants and tax staff for accuracy and quality.
• Provide guidance on complex tax compliance and planning matters.
• Research federal and state tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and leadership.
• Work directly with clients to understand their businesses and evolving tax needs.
• Manage engagement workflow, deadlines and deliverables.
• Mentor, train and develop less-experienced tax professionals.
• Collaborate with partners on client matters and firm initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax strategies and client service.
