Markent Personnel seeks a Manager, Tax for a central Ohio CPA firm. You will lead tax engagements, mentor staff, and partner with clients to optimize taxation for small to mid‑size businesses and high‑wealth individuals.

You will balance technical depth with relationship management, aiming for partner potential while maintaining work‑life balance in a collaborative, culture‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of public accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting and active CPA status.
• Experience as Sr. Tax Accountant serving small businesses and high‑wealth individuals.
• Experience managing associates; coaching and reviews.
• Strong tax accounting knowledge for C‑corps, S‑corps, partnerships, and LLCs.
• Familiarity with real estate/construction tax is a plus; client facing role.
• Proficient with UltraTax, QuickBooks, RIA and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor tax staff; review work product.
• Manage client relationships and conduct tax planning.
• Oversee compliance for varied entity structures; coordinate with CFOs and financial executives.
• Participate in business development and partner discussions.
