Job summary

MedTeam Staffing Inc. seeks a Manager, Tax for a local CPA firm in central Ohio (Columbus area).

The role focuses on tax work for capital-intensive small businesses, not-for-profits, and individual owners, offering a great work environment, work-life balance, and potential to achieve Partner status. In this position you will lead tax engagements, mentor staff, and handle complex planning while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• A passion for Tax Accounting with at least 8 years in public accounting.
• Accounting degree and active CPA status.
• Experience as Sr. Tax Accountant serving small businesses and high wealth individuals.
• Experience managing associates; coaching/mentoring; performing reviews.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting for C-corps, S-corps, partnerships, LLCs.
• Familiarity with real estate/construction sector is a plus; knowledge of partnerships and tax implications.
• Client-facing role with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Proficient with UltraTax, QuickBooks, RIA, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements for small to mid-sized clients.
• Mentor and review junior staff.
• Work directly with CFOs and financial executives.
• Coordinate tax planning for 2026 extensions and filings.
• Maintain client relationships and deliver quality service.
