Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP in Northern California is seeking a Tax Manager to join the Private Wealth/PCS team. You will provide tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and their private businesses, working with firm leadership to deliver value to clients and the firm.

You will mentor staff, manage engagements, and contribute to the growth of the practice while leveraging current tax strategies and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required.
• Five years of tax compliance and advisory experience in a professional services firm.
• Two years of supervisory experience mentoring staff.
• Experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals and their private businesses/investment entities.
• Prepare complex tax returns (individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax).
• Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting.
• Keep up-to-date on tax developments and apply them to complex situations.
• Mentor staff and support engagement teams.
• Network and build strong client relationships internally and externally.
• Support growth and development of team members.
