Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Tax Manager for our Private Wealth/PCS team in NorCal. You will deliver tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, and family offices, working with firm leadership to drive client success.

You will mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and help grow our tax practice, benefiting from the firm's upward career trajectory, flexible scheduling, and developmental programs.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required
• Master's or advanced degree preferred
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required
• Five years of tax compliance, accounting and advisory services experience in a professional services firm
• Two years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
• Experience in Private Wealth/Private Client Services preferred
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to supervise others and deliver high-quality client service

Responsibilities

• Provide compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational families, family offices and their private businesses/investment entities
• Prepare complex tax returns (individual, partnership, S‑corp, trust, estate, gift, state)
• Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal estate, gift and generation skipping tax
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax developments and apply to client situations
• Mentor and develop staff and contribute to firm-wide learning programs
• Build relationships with clients and internal teams to grow the practice
