Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Tax Manager for Private Client Services. The role focuses on high-net-worth compliance and consulting across estate, gift, and trust taxes, with leadership responsibilities and direct client interaction.

The position requires extensive tax experience, relevant certifications, and strong communication and leadership skills. On-site collaboration with PCS teams and clients is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; master's preferred.
• Five+ years of accounting/finance experience; public accounting or PCS experience preferred.
• CPA/EA/attorney or equivalents required; other certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax and consulting engagements and identify client needs and opportunities.
• Interact with clients and advisors to gather information for tax returns.
• Review diverse tax returns (individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership) and provide feedback to staff.
• Communicate with government agencies on complex matters; conduct advanced tax research.
• Develop and expand tax knowledge through client engagements and current tax developments.
• Lead and supervise staff; billings, recruiting, and training responsibilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and external sources.
