CLA is hiring a Tax Director/Manager for its growing Northeast Tax practice with locations across MD/PA/VA. You will consult with clients on tax planning, lead engagements, and develop a high-performing team. CPA required; JD/EA acceptable in some cases.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of public accounting experience, with 10+ years preferred, and a track record of delivering sophisticated tax solutions. Maryland-based roles offer compensation aligned with market ranges.

About the role:

CLA is looking to hire Tax Manager or Director for our growing Northeast Tax practice. Locations include: Baltimore, MD, Columbia, MD, North Bethseda, MD, Arlington, VA, Greenbelt, MD, King of Prussia, PA, and Bethlehem, PA.

As a Tax Director/Manager You Will

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.

• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.

• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.

• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.

• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.

• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.

• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.

As Our Ideal Candidate

• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management.

• 10+ years experience highly preferred.

• You have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• You have an active CPA certification. A JD or EA may be accepted in place of a CPA certification.

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is: $116,000.00 - $187,000.00.
