Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Tax Director/Manager to lead our Northeast Tax practice in the Maryland area. The role focuses on supervising tax engagements, mentoring staff, and developing strong client relationships across offices in Baltimore, Columbia, North Bethesda, and surrounding regions.

You will guide tax planning, review complex returns, and stay current with tax laws to deliver value to clients and CLA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active CPA certification. JD or EA may be accepted in place of CPA.
• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• 10+ years experience highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop teams.
• Public accounting and Corporate Tax knowledge.

• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.

About the role:

CLA is looking to hire Tax Manager or Director for our growing Northeast Tax practice. Locations include: Baltimore, MD, Columbia, MD, North Bethseda, MD, Arlington, VA, Greenbelt, MD, King of Prussia, PA, and Bethlehem, PA.

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is: $116,000.00 - $187,000.00.
