CLA is seeking a Tax Director/Manager to join our Northeast Tax practice with locations across MD, PA, VA. You will consult with clients on tax planning, lead and review engagements, and mentor staff while developing opportunities for clients and communities. A CPA or equivalent certification is required, with JD/EA considered.

The Maryland range reflects market competitiveness. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and industry involvement as you manage engagements of varying complexity

About the role:

CLA is looking to hire Tax Manager or Director for our growing Northeast Tax practice. Locations include: Baltimore, MD, Columbia, MD, North Bethseda, MD, Arlington, VA, Greenbelt, MD, King of Prussia, PA, and Bethlehem, PA.

As a Tax Director/Manager You Will

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.

• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.

As Our Ideal Candidate

• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management.
• 10+ years experience highly preferred.
• You have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• You have an active CPA certification. A JD or EA may be accepted in place of a CPA certification.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is: $116,000.00 – $187,000.00.
