Job summary

Wipfli LLP in Madison, WI is seeking a seasoned Tax Services professional to manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients. You will review federal and multi-state partnership returns and lead client relationships, supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services.

You will research technical matters, communicate effectively with clients, and participate in business development with partners and marketing to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA certification required in the practicing state.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Manufacturing and retail distribution experience preferred.
• Experience leading staff and making recommendations to management.
• Public accounting background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients.
• Review Federal and Multi-State Partnership tax returns.
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services.
• Research and consult on technical matters and special projects.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
• Actively participate in business development efforts with partners and marketing to target and build relationships with client prospects.
• Manage, train and develop staff; participate in the performance review process.
• Attain technical competency through CPE and industry group events, webinars, etc.
• Review tax-related information to include tax provisions, depreciation schedules, property tax returns, etc.
• Lead multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning.
• Prepare and review client correspondence (letter, e-mail, etc.).
• Actively participate in firm events for industry-specific and regional clients and prospects.
