Job summary

YHB in Winchester, VA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead a variety of tax engagements across Construction, Healthcare, Banking & Financial Institutions, and Estate & Trust. You will coordinate engagements, review work, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.

The role requires a CPA, a solid background in tax accounting, and proven ability to manage multiple deadlines with clear communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field required.
CPA Certification required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated time and work management skills necessary to manage a complex workload.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage engagements and review work to ensure successful completion.
Mentor and guide junior employees and develop their skills.
Maintain positive client relationships through clear communication with Firm leadership.
Manage multiple client profiles, deadlines, and budgets while meeting expectations.
Identify issues and provide solutions as a trusted advisor to clients.
Review workpapers and address review comments to ensure quality.
