Job summary

Shift Pursuit seeks an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing accounting and business advisory team in Westminster, MD. You will work with privately held businesses and owners on complex tax matters, providing advisory and leadership for engagements.

A CPA with 7+ years of experience is preferred; strong tax planning, client service, and staff mentoring are essential. This hybrid-remote role offers opportunity to lead engagements and grow the tax practice.

Qualifications

• CPA licensed and active in good standing.
• Experience with corporate tax, S-corp, partnerships.
• Strong leadership and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory to clients.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
• Review and supervise the preparation of tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Advise privately held Corporations, S Corporations and Partnerships.
• Handle state tax matters, tax compliance, tax accounting and consulting.
• Advise on the tax considerations affecting business owners and their individual returns.
• Lead client engagements and build strong, trusted client relationships.
• Mentor and provide guidance to tax staff.
• Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
