Job summary

Baker Tilly International is seeking a Tax Manager focused on flow-throughs, based in Southern California. You will lead tax compliance and advisory services for small to mid-market clients, guiding engagement teams and building lasting client relationships.

You will oversee accounting and advisory work, mentor staff, stay current on state and federal tax laws, and help grow the practice with entrepreneurial energy and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA, Law license, or Enrolled Agent preferred.
• Five years of tax compliance experience with flow-throughs is expected.
• Supervisory experience and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax and advisory services for small business and middle-market clients.
• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping and financial statement preparation or compilation.
• Review client records, provide analysis, and discuss tax implications with clients.
• Deliver high-quality client service: responsive, timely, professional and accurate.
• Manage engagements, assign resources, set deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
• Stay current on local, state and federal tax practices and laws; support staff development.
