Job summary

Baker Tilly Madison is seeking a Tax Manager to deliver tax and business advisory services to business clients. You will work alongside firm leadership, coaching staff, and growing the practice.

You will oversee accounting and financial statement work, provide analysis, and maintain strong client relationships, with emphasis on delivering excellent service

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• CPA, Law License, or EA required.
• Five (5) years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the team providing tax, accounting and advisory services to business clients.
• Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
• Review and analyze accounting records with clients, provide analysis and consultation.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service, being responsive, timely, professional, and accurate.
• Lead and plan client engagements, evaluating processes and identifying internal control issues.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Manage and build client relationships, act as liaison to address client issues.
• Delegate and oversee work by setting goals and deadlines to meet client expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
• Assist with staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring profitability targets.
• Network and build relationships with clients and the community.
• Invest in professional development through firm programs.
• Support team development and mentorship.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Master’s degree or advanced degree in accounting

CPA or equivalent (CPA, Law License, or EA)

Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
