Job summary

Harvey John is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager in Philadelphia to lead tax compliance, advisory and ASC 740 work for a growing portfolio. The role starts fully remote and will move to hybrid as the team builds in-office presence.

You will partner with leadership, help shape the regional tax practice, mentor junior staff, and drive client relationships with C-Corp and partnership clients, with a clear path toward Tax Partner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of tax experience focused on C-Corporations and Partnerships.
• Experience across tax compliance, advisory, and ASC 740 provisions.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA, JD or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal and state tax compliance for C corporations and partnerships.
• Prepare and review ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• Advise on tax planning and commercial impact of decisions.
• Build client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Research complex federal/state tax issues and propose practical solutions.
• Manage multiple engagements, on time and on budget.
• Help build the Philadelphia tax practice and win new work.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines and international network.
• Recruit, mentor and develop junior team members.
