The role combines remote work with periodic in-person activities, leading a team and collaborating with finance, legal, and executives to optimize tax outcomes.

The ideal candidate has extensive tax experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s in Taxation or CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance and planning within corporate or public accounting environments.
• Strong command of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical matters to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with tax software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and adjust processes to maintain compliance.
• Review and approve tax calculations and supporting documentation.
• Develop and execute tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize credits.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals and coordinate with cross-functional leaders.
• Serve as liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
