Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. is seeking a Tax Manager for the Business Incentives Group (BIG) to identify, document, and support BIG tax positions, with focus on examination and appeals.

You will lead research, strategy development, and client communications while driving business development and process improvements. The role requires several years of tax experience, leadership capabilities, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in accounting, tax, or finance preferred.
• Five or more years of tax consulting experience; BIG tax experience preferred.
• Experience supervising professionals and delivering client service.
• Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
• CPA or EA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify tax positions and implications for clients.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to maximize benefits.
• Prepare and review tax provisions and compliance workpapers.
• Manage client communications and project timelines.
• Guide and mentor junior staff and senior associates on BIG engagements.
• Support business development and outreach efforts.
