Job summary

SJHL in Hutchinson, KS seeks a Tax Manager to lead client relationships and deliver high-quality tax services for diverse businesses and individuals.

You will review returns, project taxes, identify planning opportunities, mentor staff, and help grow the firm’s tax advisory capabilities in a close-knit, community-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Loves tax and enjoys digging into complex issues.
• Active CPA with GAAP understanding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 5+ years in public accounting.
• Experience in managing client relationships and developing a book of business.
• Interest in mentoring others and growing a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow client relationships.
• Review business and individual income tax returns.
• Review tax projections and quarterly estimates.
• Identify planning opportunities and help clients achieve their goals.
• Mentor and develop other team members through knowledge sharing.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Loves tax and enjoys digging into complex issues
• Is an active CPA with a good understanding of GAAP
• Brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Has 5+ years of experience in public accounting
• Enjoys managing client relationships and developing their own book of business
• Is interested in mentoring others and contributing to a growing team

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage and grow client relationships
• Review business and individual income tax returns
• Review tax projections and quarterly estimates
• Identify planning opportunities and help clients achieve their goals (B, as we call it)
• Help grow other team members by spending time with them and knowledge sharing
