Job summary

SJHL is seeking a Tax Manager for our McPherson office. You will lead tax engagements, review returns, and mentor junior staff, shaping client service standards in public accounting.

As a CPA with 5+ years in public accounting, you will manage deadlines and client relationships while helping grow the tax team and deliver high-quality services to a diverse client base in Kansas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years public accounting experience including tax returns review.
• Active CPA required.
• Loves tax and client service, can navigate complex issues.
• Experience managing client engagements and deadlines.
• Mentoring and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a tax client group.
• Review business and individual tax returns for accuracy and quality.
• Review tax projections and quarterly estimates.
• Mentor and develop junior staff through knowledge sharing.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Loves tax and enjoys helping clients navigate complex issues
• Is an active CPA
• Has 5+ years of public accounting experience, including experience reviewing tax return
• Has experience managing client engagements and deadlines
• Enjoys mentoring and developing team members

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a group of tax clients
• Review business and individual income tax returns for accuracy and quality
• Review tax projections and quarterly estimates
• Help grow other team members by spending time with them and knowledge sharing
