What You’ll Own
- Oversee and manage theentire tax department workflow
- Drive efficiency, deadlines, and quality control across engagements
- Improve and standardize tax processes as the firm grows
- Partner with leadership onstrategic growth initiatives
Technical Review & Complex Tax Work
- Review complex Tax Returns
- Handle high-level tax research and technical issues
- Ensure compliance across federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare complex returns and provide guidance to staff throughout the process
- Lead proactivetax planning strategiesfor clients
- Identify savings opportunities and long-term planning solutions
- Provide forward-looking advisory (not just historical reporting)
Client Relationship Management
- Run and leadclient meetings and strategy sessions
- Serve as atrusted advisorto business owners and individuals
- Translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice
- Act as thego-to resourcefor staff questions and technical guidance
- Train, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
- Help build a strong, confident, and capable tax team
What We are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA preferred
- 3+ years of professional tax experience required; 5+ years preferred
- Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Strong tax planning and technical tax knowledge
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Someone who enjoys helping both clients and fellow team members success
