Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC invites ambitious students to join our Tax team in Houston for the Summer 2027 internship. Under supervision, interns will learn, shadow, and provide support across tax functions.

The role includes responding to employee inquiries, assisting with projects, and helping organize team administrative activities. A strong emphasis on communication, data handling, and SharePoint content updates will be part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 60 college hours with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Professional communication skills are essential for intern interactions and reporting.
• No prior full-time experience required; this is an internship for learning and contribution.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee inquiries.
• Perform assigned project work.
• Organize team administrative activities.
• Assist with approvals and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Draft and distribute monthly articles to employees and update the website.
• May revise or create content on SharePoint sites.
• Analyze data and create informational presentations for management meetings.
• Participate in the Internship Enrichment Program.

This position will be in-office in Houston, Texas. Our summer 2027 internships start mid to end of May and will run through the beginning of August.

Summary

Under immediate supervision, learns, shadows, and provides support to the Tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• May be responsible for drafting and/or distributing monthly articles to employees, field representatives, and updating/posting to the business unit/department website.
• May revise or create content SharePoint site(s).
• May analyze data and create informational presentations for management meetings.
• Participate in the Internship Enrichment Program.

Requirements

• Minimum 60 completed hours from an accredited college or university.
• Grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
• No experience required!
• Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
