Job summary

Opsahl Dawson is offering a Tax Intern position from January to April 2027. You’ll assist with preparing 1040s, learn about partnerships and corporate taxes, and gain hands-on experience working with a tax team.

Responsibilities include organizing and scanning returns, using Autoflow for data extraction, handling simple 1040s and 1099s/W-2s workflows, and supporting clients through signing and payments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eager to learn and contribute in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize & scan tax returns and ensure accuracy.
• Use Autoflow for data extraction and organization.
• Prepare simple 1040s and basic entity returns.
• Assist with 1099s and W-2s and related processing.
• Explain signatures and payment procedures to clients.
