Opsahl Dawson offers a Tax Intern role for January–April 2027 in Bellevue, WA. You will gain hands-on experience preparing 1040s, learning partnerships and corporate taxes, and interacting with clients. Expect mentorship and real-world exposure to tax processes, from returns organization to completion and client sign-offs.

You'll work on 1099s and W-2s, get involved in tax return assembly, and develop strong Excel and communication skills within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Organize & Scan Returns: Be the first to handle incoming tax returns, ensuring they’re organized and accurately processed.
• Autoflow Utilization: Use Autoflow tool for data extraction and organization when processing tax returns.
• Level 1 Tax Returns: Prepare individual returns (1040s) and tackle simple entity returns.
• Supporting the Team: Help with 1099s and W-2s and gain exposure to real-world tax processing.
• Tax Return Assembly & Client Support: Wrap up the process and explain signatures and payment procedures to clients.

• Autoflow Utilization: Utilize Autoflow tool for data extraction and organization when processing tax returns.
• Level 1 Tax Returns: Jump right into preparing individual returns (1040s), and tackle simple entity returns!
• Supporting the Team: Help with 1099s and W-2s and get a sneak peek into real‑world tax processing.
• Tax Return Assembly & Client Support: Wrap up the process and get involved with clients by explaining signatures and payment procedures.
