Job summary

Elevance Health is offering a Tax Intern position for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. The 12-week, full-time internship runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a hybrid in-office schedule of 1–2 days per week.

You will gain exposure to federal/state income tax, sales/use tax, and tax accounting while supporting the Tax department. Applicants should be enrolled in Accounting/Finance and able to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or other related degree.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth data analysis and tax modeling and assist with process improvement
• Research and execute analysis of tax law (federal, state and/or international)
• Support ongoing state and/or federal tax audits
• Prepare selected tax filings while analyzing tax developments and their application to business units
• Work with a tax team to deliver outstanding results
