Job summary

Elevance Health in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Actuarial Intern for Summer 2027 to join our team on-site. This 12-week, full-time program runs May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027 with summer housing provided.

Interns will support actuarial projects, exposure to healthcare pricing, valuation and risk analysis, and collaboration with finance, actuarial and operations groups. You will develop technical, analytical and communication skills while presenting a key project on program completion and

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field.
Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship on-site at Indianapolis, IN.
Progress toward actuarial credentials and/or passing at least one actuarial exam encouraged.

Responsibilities

Support a variety of actuarial projects across healthcare cost analysis, trend projection, valuation, risk quantification, and pricing.
Learn practical actuarial methods, tools, and processes while collaborating with finance, actuarial, and operations teams.
Develop technical, analytical, and communication skills and present a final project at internship end.
