Elevance Health is offering a Tax Intern position for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. The 12-week, full-time internship runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a hybrid in-office schedule of 1–2 days per week.

You will gain exposure to federal/state income tax, sales/use tax, and tax accounting while supporting the Tax department. Applicants should be enrolled in Accounting/Finance and able to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration.

Tax Intern – Summer 2027

Location: Indianapolis, IN
This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

The Tax Intern is responsible for supporting our Tax department by assisting with federal and state income tax compliance, tax accounting, examination/audit defense, and special projects. During this summer internship, the intern will be exposed to and gain experience with federal and state income tax, sales/use tax, property tax, and state premium (insurance) tax.

This internship program is a 12-week, full-time program running from May 17th, 2027 – August 6th, 2027.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or other related degree.
