Job summary

Hill, Barth & King, LLC (HBK) invites rising accounting juniors and sophomores to apply for our internship program in Holmdel, NJ. You will gain hands-on experience in federal and state tax preparation, tax research, and HBK software while supporting the team on real client work.

You will participate in a week-long 1040 Tax Training Program, work closely with colleagues, and develop communication and analytical skills essential for a successful public accounting career.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior pursuing a major in accounting.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred; leadership, campus involvement and relevant experience valued.
• Pursuing CPA designation.
• Excellent computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Receive training on federal and state tax preparation and HBK software.
• Attend a week-long 1040 Tax Training Program.
• Contribute to timely, high-quality work products.
• Work closely with team members and perform responsibilities of a first-year associate.
• Gaining hands-on exposure to preparing tax returns (individual and corporate).
