Transamerica is seeking a senior manager to lead the US Information Reporting and Withholding team within Corporate Finance. You will oversee a multidisciplinary group, ensure IRS reporting compliance, and partner with business lines to implement tax guidance.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, designing controls, delivering trainings, and guiding year-end forms like 1099/1042-S. A bachelor's degree in accounting and about 8 years of tax or accounting experience are needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 8 years of tax, accounting, or related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tax research tools (RIA, Westlaw).

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of assigned team including supervisors and/or individual contributors.
• Adapt department plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Understand and communicate directives from senior management.
• Review, analyze and interpret IRS information reporting and withholding guidance.
• Monitor new products/transactions and ensure proper application of group rules.
• Collaborate with business and operations to resolve compliance issues.
• Prepare and present trainings.
• Research and respond to internal day-to-day questions from lines of business.
• Provide guidance on year-end tax reporting (Forms 1099, 1098, 1042-S).
• Identify potential tax issues and drive process improvements.
