Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a management professional to join the US Information Reporting and Withholding Team within Corporate Finance. The role focuses on establishing processes for US information return reporting and ensuring withholding is performed in line with IRS and state/local requirements.

The position requires leading a team, interpreting IRS guidance, and driving process improvements while coordinating with lines of business on product and transaction impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 8 years of professional experience in tax, accounting, or equivalent area.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, online research tools (RIA, Westlaw), and tax/accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of assigned team including supervisors and/or individual contributors.
• Adapt department plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Understand and communicate directives from senior management.
• Review, analyze and interpret new IRS information reporting and withholding tax guidance and partner with designated lines of business to determine the impact on products and procedures.
• Monitor designated lines of businesses new products/transactions and ensure understanding of how group rules apply.
• Collaborate with business and operations areas to ensure understanding of information reporting and withholding requirements and resolve compliance issues.
• Prepare and present trainings.
• Research and respond to internal day-to-day questions from lines of businesses.
