Job summary

Transamerica seeks a Manager Tax, Information Reporting & Withholding to lead the US Information Reporting and Withholding Team in Corporate Finance. You will ensure accurate IRS reporting and withholding compliance across federal, state and local requirements while guiding a team of supervisors and contributors.

The role emphasizes process improvements, cross-functional collaboration, training delivery, and interpretation of IRS guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Generally 8 years of professional experience in tax, accounting, or equivalent area.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), on-line research software (RIA, Westlaw), applicable tax and/or accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of assigned team including supervisors and/or individual contributors.
• Adapt department plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Review, analyze and interpret IRS information reporting and withholding guidance and partner with lines of business.
• Monitor products/transactions and ensure understanding of group rules.
• Collaborate with business and operations to ensure understanding of requirements and resolve issues.
• Prepare and present trainings.
• Respond to internal questions on tax documentation and complex transactions.
• Provide guidance on year-end tax reporting with Forms 1099, 1098, 1042-S.
• Identify potential tax issues and escalate accordingly.
• Lead and influence a team to align with department strategy.
