Job summary

The Seyfarth Shaw LLP Downtown Los Angeles office is seeking a transactional tax associate with at least 2 years of experience to join the Tax-exempt Organizations Practice Group. Candidates with nonprofit tax-exempt work are encouraged to apply.

You will draft transaction documents, support tax compliance, and work with partners on matters across healthcare, education, and research sectors. California Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of transactional tax experience at a large law firm.
• Experience with nonprofits or tax-exempt organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review transaction documents, board materials, IRS submissions, and client advisories for nonprofit transactions.
• Support nonprofit clients on tax compliance, unrelated business income, and governance issues.
• Collaborate with partners on matters spanning healthcare, education, and research sectors.
