We are a growing firm looking for a Tax Director to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who is comfortable preparing and reviewing small business, S-Corp, non-profit and individual returns. The Tax Director will work directly with the clients and will also help manage our team of preparers. The work is interesting and challenging; helping clients run their business, advising them, and solving their financial challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of tax preparation including data collection, work in progress and client communication.
• Prepare and/or review easy-moderately complex tax returns.
• Research tax guidance to solve complex tax issues.
• Act as a key point of contact with clients and provide timely responses to tax questions.
• Provide tax consulting services to clients throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Agent or CPA (Required)
• Tax preparation and advisory: 6 to 8 years (Required)
• Strong knowledge of individual and small business tax (6+ years of experience). Must be a CPA or EA. Must have a PTIN.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Intuit Lacerte software is a plus
• Proficient in financial statement preparation and account analysis
