Job summary

You will lead complex tax reviews, advise on planning strategies, and mentor senior staff across SEC and closely held clients. The position emphasizes leadership, client service, and contribution to the firm’s growth toward partnership, with travel to client sites and flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years experience in public accounting with progression in tax complexity, scope and research.
• Experience representing clients before taxing authorities (minimum two years).
• Minimum one year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Continuing education: minimum forty hours per year to maintain skills.
• CPA license required; active membership with AICPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and examinations of any complexity.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Supervise assignments to tax preparers to meet budgeted timelines.
• Participate in client meetings and tax planning for larger clients.
• Develop staff through recruiting, evaluations and training.
