Joseph Michaels International, a well established regional CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Director to lead complex tax engagements for SEC and closely held clients across industries. The role offers strong work-life balance, extensive benefits, and a fast track to partnership.

The Tax Director will supervise and review returns, manage examinations, mentor staff, and contribute to client meetings and planning. Occasional travel and overtime during peak periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Master's degree in taxation preferred.
• Current CPA license required.

Responsabilités

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and examinations.
• Serves as SME in discipline or industry.
• Mentors staff and develops training; participates in client meetings and tax planning.
• Oversees large tax returns and delegates to preparers.
• Maintains familiarity with tax developments affecting clients.
