Your Role
We are seeking a hands-on Tax Manager/Director with experience in web3 and blockchain. You will manage all corporate tax matters, build tax infrastructure, processes, and controls to support Polygon Labs's growth. Leading a Tax department, this role offers a significant leadership opportunity.

Your Responsibilities

1. Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare US income, indirect, and foreign tax filings; review work by external advisers; manage local tax operations; ensure timely filing of all tax returns; review payroll tax requirements.
2. Digital Asset Tax: Manage tax implications of DeFi transactions, token issuances, and airdrops.
3. Tax Planning & Strategy: Support tax audits; assist with global tax planning and transfer pricing policies.
4. Transfer Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand tax impacts, review inter-company transactions, and ensure compliance.
5. Cross Function Collaboration: Work with accounting on financial reporting; support tax controls; lead tax reviews during M&A; maintain audit-ready documentation.
6. Process Optimization: Manage tax filing timelines; develop efficient compliance processes; conduct internal audits; coordinate tax reporting requirements.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of international and corporate tax experience; Big 4 experience a plus
• Experience with international tax and crypto accounting
• Understanding of accounting principles and transaction review skills
