Venteon Finance in the Metro Detroit area is seeking a Tax Director to lead the global corporate tax function. The role focuses on income tax compliance, tax provision review, strategic planning, and process improvements in collaboration with executive leadership.

You will oversee U.S. federal/state taxes, international tax matters, ASC 740, and tax technology initiatives while guiding audits, notices, and external advisors, and partnering with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA and/or Master’s in Tax preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, ASC 740, and financial reporting.
• Experience with international tax, tax planning, audits, and tax technology systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical tax guidance, support strategic tax planning, and assist with M&A activities.
• Coordinate audits, tax notices, and relationships with external advisors.
• Lead tax process improvements, technology initiatives, and compliance workflow management.

This position will serve as a key technical leader within the corporate tax function, overseeing income tax compliance, tax provision review, strategic tax planning, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to partner with executive leadership and external advisors.

Requirements of the Tax Director
