Job summary

Venteon Finance in the Metro-Detroit area is seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting to oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our local CPA firm. We are seeking an experienced CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.

Responsibilities include managing and reviewing tax returns, overseeing financial statement preparation, mentoring staff, and advising on tax planning and business structuring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license required.
• Strong experience with both individual and business tax returns.
• Proven ability to review work and mentor staff.
• Experience with multi-entity and flow-through taxation.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands-on bookkeeping, general ledger, and close processes.
• Experience with payroll tax filings and sales tax compliance (multi-state).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
