Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a detail‑oriented data verifier in Minnesota to support the preparation and filing of tax returns. The role involves reviewing and validating data supplied by accounting firms, using the OCR-powered 1040SCANverify tool to extract and process information, and correcting errors to ensure complete and compliant documents.

Key duties include identifying missing data, maintaining data integrity, and sustaining high productivity in a structured office setting.

Qualifications

Proficiency with basic computer functionality and ability to quickly learn new programs.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to type at least 50 words per minute with accuracy.
Be comfortable working in a structured office environment.
Ability to remain focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Review, Verify, and Validate tax data submitted by accounting firms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Utilize an in-house software called 1040SCANverify that leverages OCR to extract and process tax data.
Evaluate OCR output for accuracy, identifying and correct discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
Identify and correct missing or incomplete data to ensure tax documents are fully prepared for future processing.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
